EMS providers encounter a substantial amount of violence and injury due to assaults on the job. Formal training and protocols to provide a standardized safe approach for such encounters are lacking. Upon completion of the session, participants will have a much better understanding of the violence occurring toward EMS workers and approaches to assist with risk mitigation and management.
