EMS providers encounter a substantial amount of Overdosing from Opioid abuse. With the knowledge from formal training and protocols can now be developed to guide the EMS System in a proper standardized care format. Upon completion of the session, participants will have a much better understanding of the use of Marijuana and how to Care for those patients.
In the State of Michigan, EMT pass rates are below the national average.  We must take a very intentional look at our teaching methods and look for strategies to better engage our students.  Research shows that a hands-on or kinesthetic approach improves long-term memory, classroom engagement, and participation.
